Credit For Experience

Piccolo International University offers undergraduate students the opportunity to earn college credit by documenting discipline-specific knowledge that has been obtained in a variety of contexts. Credit for prior learning is not awarded based on work experience. Credit may be awarded, however, based upon the student’s ability to demonstrate competency in learning outcomes that align with one or more courses in PIU’s curriculum. Students may earn a maximum of 30 credit hours through PLA if no more than 60 credits are transferred into PIU. Credits earned through the PLA process will not be used in calculation of the PIU grade point average for purposes of meeting minimum requirements for graduation or for graduation with honors. PLA credits are not available for graduate degrees.

Piccolo International University gave me the opportunity to achieve not only a degree, but a dream. I will (and have) recommended PIU to others interested in continuing their education.
