Home and Building Inspection
The Certificate in Home and Building Inspection builds knowledge, skills, and leadership in home and building inspections. Students seeking a home inspector certification will focus on key elements of codes, real estate principles, electrical, plumbing, and environmental inspections. In addition, students will gain knowledge through activities focused on current industry trends allowing them to apply what they have obtained from their courses to current situations in the working environment.
To earn the Building and Home Inspector Certification, students must complete 15 credit hours, as defined below, with a grade of “C” or better.

Surveys electrical and plumbing components including codes, service sizing, electrical boxes, pipe sizing, distribution systems, shock resistance water distribution, and waste systems. |
